The film is polypropylene just like our regular film bags, but in this case it is made from recycled cooking oil rather than fossil based oil. This cooking oil is a vegetable oil and is therefore classed as a renewable source, The overall bag, including the peel and seal strip, would be 90% from a renewable source.

The film is made in Europe (Italy) and the used cooking oil is collected throughout Europe

The film is chemically and structurally identical to regular polypropylene

The film can be recycled and can be mixed with fossil based polypropylene. Plastic film is much more readily recycled these days. A lot of supermarkets are now collecting it.
